Bourbonnais Creek Bridge Dedicated.

    A bridge west of Rossville on Highway 24 has beed dedicated to honor a Kansas family.   A sign has been unveiled  commemorating the new bridge as Bourbonnais Creek Bridge.    The creek and bridge are named for the Bourbonnais family of the Potawatomi Citizen Band  that used to live nearby.   Jim Coder, a descendant of the Bourbonnais, was on hand for the dedication.

St. Marys Volleyball Team Gets Wins.

    The RHS volleyball team lost two matches to St. Marys on Oct. 7 by scores of 20-25, 13-25 and then lost a very close match at  25-18, 22-25, 24-26.

Golf Team 5th At Silver Lake Invitational

    The RHS golf team finished fifth at the Silver Lake Invitational led by Makayla Crow's 6th place score of 51.  Others on the team were Emily Woodcock - 60, Staci Woodruff - 61, Rachel Lord  - 63, Jesse Sowers - 63, and Dawn Ledeboer - 69.
    The team standings were:

Silver Lake Invitational Volleyball Tournament

    The RHS girls volleyball team came in second at the Silver Lake Invitational Tournament.
    They started with a win over Royal Valley, 18-25, 25-23, 25-22.   They then prevailed over Perry-Lecompton 25-20, 23-25, 25-16.   Then they had to play the powerful host team,  Silver Lake, which won 11-25, 20-25.  They then beat Sabetha 25-21, 25-21, which put them up against Silver Lake for the tournament championship.  The Eagles once again showed their power with a 16-25, 14-25 triumph.

Golf Team Fifth at Clay Center

    The RHS girls golf team was led to a fifth place finish at the Clay Center Invitaional by Makayla Crow with a 54.  The team's score of  240  finished behind (1) Salina Central - 204, (2) TMP Hayes - 206, (3) Clay Center  - 218, (4) Concordia - 226 and ahead of (6) Council Grove - 250. (7) Centre - 262, and Bennington - 265

RHS Splits With Riley County

    The RHS volleyball team split with Riley County, winning the first match  25-23, 22-25, 25-19 and losing the second one 25-22, 19-25, 21-25.
