Missing Shirt

We receive a request to reach out to our booster club members to help locate a missing shirt.  Betty Haug (Derick Hammes mother-in-law) gave Lisa Hammes a shirt specially made for Dawson at state in Hutch. It was in a plastic grocery bag. Lisa accidentally left it laying on the bleachers when she ran out on the field after the game. When she went back to get it, it was gone. The maintenance man cleaning the bleachers said a couple who said they were from Rossville picked it up and said they would bring it back to Rossville. The Hammes have not seen it since. . Anyone with information should contact the Rossville High School 785-584-6193 or email Sandy Wichman

Thank You,

Rossville Booster Club

Wrestling Team Outlook

The RHS wrestling team is finally getting into Drive after limited practice with all but one team member being on the football team which went all the way to the 3A state championship.

Other team members are freshman Reed Miller (106), freshman  Holden Hurla (120),  junior Lee Hester (145), senior Alex Bird (152) , Kole Davoren (195), senior Robert Hester (220), junior Joao Uezono (220), and freshman Kody Hurla (285).
Last year, the team qualified 5 wrestlers for state in Hays – 106 lb Freshman Bryce Gfeller, 132 lb Senior Jacob Gentry, 138 lb Sophomore Derek Gentry, 152 lb Senior Tagen Lambotte and 170 lb Sophomore Isaac Luellen. The team finished with the best  finish in school history placing 2nd with Tagen and Bryce getting the gold.
The team is coached by Curt Brecheisen and assistants Cody Lambotte and Courtney Horgan.
