Regional Golf Tournament
The RHS girls came in 4th of 6 teams at the 3A Regional golf tournament at Herrington Country Club on Oct. 12. Emily Woodcock and Jessica Sowers qualified for State.

Fall Music Concert Oct. 22
The FALL MUSIC CONCERT which consists of the 7th - 12th grade choirs and bands will be held Thursday, Oct. 22nd, at 7:00 PM at the RJSHS.
FCCLA Fund Raiser Friday
The FCCLA will have fund raiser during the football game on Friday. You can buy walking tacos, chocolate cake and a drink for $5.
Sabetha Invitational Cross Country
The Kaw Valley cross country team competed in the Sabetha Invitational Oct. 8.
The girls team was 4th of 5 teams. The standings were: (1) Baldwin, (2) Hiawatha, (3)Wamego, (4) Kaw Valley, (5) Atchison Co. The teams leaders were (14) Logan Hurla, (18) Taylor Bittner, (30) Erica Shults.
The boys team was 9th of 12 teams. Team leaders were (14) Brady Mulligan, (34) Spencer Rieschick, (41) Austin Rieschick.

Message from the producer of the baseball film being shot Oct. 18 at Joe Campbell Stadium.
We are now starting at 11 am instead of 1pm because we discovered that there are some harsh shadows cast on the infield beginning at 3pm. The shadows create issues for our cameras and cinematographer so we need to get going earlier.

#1 ROSSVILLE (6-0)
Last: beat Centralia 59-13Rossville scored 27 points in the first quarter and led 41-0 at halftime in a big win over Centralia. Tucker Horak rushed for 138 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries for Rossville. Jacob Bradshaw added 130 rushing yards and two scores. Horak also threw for 182 yards and a score on 8 of 12 passing. He connected with Cole Schumaker four times for 110 yards and a touchdown.Next: vs. Oskaloosa (4-2)
#2 WICHITA COLLEGIATE (6-0)
Last: beat Wellington, 35-8Wichita Collegiate wrapped up the Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League - Division IV by winning at Wellington, 35-8. The Spartans' five touchdowns were scored by five different players. Austin Waddell threw two touchdown passes and ran for another. He tossed a long touchdown pass to Nathan Burgoyne, who went over 100 yards receiving on the night. Burgoyne also threw a touchdown pass to Cody McNerney on the halfback option.Next: vs. Leon-Bluestem (1-5)
#3 SCOTT CITY (6-0)
Last: shutout then 4A-I No. 4 Ulysses 35-0Scott City won the GWAC title by dominating Ulysses with a 35-0 road win. The Beaver defense held Ulysses running back Ian Rudzik to 29 rush yards on 15 carries for the night. Rudzik entered the game averaging 246 rushing yards per game. Cooper Griffith rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns for Scott City, while quarterback Bo Hess passed for 162 yards and three touchdowns.Next: vs. Southwestern Heights (3-3)
#4 HALSTEAD (6-0)
Last: blasted Nickerson 50-6Halstead led 16-6 afer one quarter, then pulled away from Nickerson for a 50-6 win. Eli McKee rushed for 199 yards on 24 carries for the Dragons. Blake Beckett added 115 rushing yards on 21 attempts for Halstead.Next: at Kingman (3-3)
#5 SILVER LAKE (6-0)
Last: won at Rock Creek, 41-14After trailing 14-6 at halftime, Silver Lake outscored Rock Creek 35-0 in the second half for a 41-14 win. Dalton Dultmeier passed for 224 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Eagles. Hunter Howerton added 108 yards rushing and two scores on 23 attempts. Ryan Wagner hauled in a pair of touchdown receptions in the third quarter for Silver Lake.Next: vs. Osage City (3-3)
