Blood Drive Nov. 2
There will be a community blood drive in the RHS Commons on Monday, November 2 between 2:30 and 5:30 PM. There is a sign up sheet available in the RHS office, or you can sign up online by visiting esavealifenow.org and use Sponsor Code: rossvillehs. Photo ID required for all donors.

Band and Choir Concert Oct. 22
The Rossville Jr/Sr High School Band and Choir members invite you to attend the Fall Music Concert on THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22nd at 7:00 pm in the RJSHS Auditorium. For the first time under the direction of Mr. Garrett Jones, the ensembles will be presenting a wide variety of music that you're sure to enjoy. These student musicians have worked hard in preparing their songs and would love to share it with everyone.

Emily Woodcock and Jessica Sowers are in Cheney today competing the the 3A State Girls Golf Tournament as individual qualifiers.

Last: beat Oskaloosa 63-12Rossville scored 28 points in each of the first two quarters in rolling past Oskaloosa. Tucker Horak rushed for 158 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries. Horak also passed for 196 yards and three scores on 14 of 17 attempts. Christian Roduner caught three passes for 82 yards and a pair of scores.Next: at Osage City (3-4)

Last: beat Leon-Bluestem 76-0Collegiate scored 35 points in the first quarter and added 28 more in the second in a big win over Bluestem. The Spartans rushed for 273 yards on the night, led by Nathan Burgoyne's 170 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries.Next: vs. Wichita Independent (2-5)
#3 SCOTT CITY (7-0)
Last: beat Southwestern Heights 53-14Scott City built a 41-6 halftime lead in beating Southwestern Heights, 53-14. Cooper Griffith rushed for 152 yards and three touchdowns on seven carries to lead the Beavers. Quarterback Bo Hess passed for 103 yards and a score to Drake McRae. Freshman Wyatt Hayes added 87 yards rushing and a score on ten carries.Next: at Lakin (2-5)
#4 HALSTEAD (7-0)
Last: beat Kingman, 36-7Halstead led Kingman 16-7 at halftime, but used a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull away for a 36-7 win. Eli McKee rushed for 148 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Dragons. Blake Beckett added 113 yards and a score on 12 carries, and Layke Heimerman added 94 yards and a score on 16 attempts.Next: at Garden Plain (7-0)

Rock Creek and Emporia Volleyball
The Rossville volleyball team lost two matches to Rock Creek on Oct. 13. The first was 17-25, 14-25 and the second was 16-25, 20-25.
On Oct. 15, the lady dawgs traveled to Emporia where they lost 15-25, 11-25.

Wichita Eagle 3A Rankings
The Wichita Eagle was the first publication to publish the 3A football rankings again this week. I wonder how much research they do since they made no changes from last week, or the week before. The top five did all have convincing wins on Friday

Mid-East Cross Country
The Rossville Cross Country team competed in the Mid-East League meet on Oct. 15 coming in 6th of the six teams. Kyle Parr led the RHS runners coming in 17th. Fred Schuler was 26th and Matt Stillion was 28th.
