Cole Schumacher Is Scholar Athlete of the Week

 (WIBW) -- Rossville senior wide receiver Cole Schumacher is this week's Scholar Athlete of the Week.
Schumacher is leading the defending 3A  state champions to a 4-0 record this year. Last week he caught three touchdowns in the first half.
Along with football, Schumacher plays basketball and is a power-lifter. He was honorable mention all-state in basketball last year, and finished third in the state in hang clean.
Schumacher has a 3.8 GPA and is a Homecoming King candidate this year.
He's also a volunteer at Habitat for Humanity and Harvesters International.
Schumacher hopes to attend Emporia State University next year and plans to major in kinesiology.

War On 24 Set For Sept. 30.

The #1 ranked Dawgs put their unbeaten streak on the line Friday night against the #2 ranked Silver Lake Eagles.   The game is slate for a 7:00 PM kick-off on the Rossville field.

The Capital-Journal has picked the Eagles to win by nine points.
