David Miller (77) Dies In Accident
WILLARD, Kan. (KSNT) - 58-year old David W. Miller from Maple Hill is dead after a crash between a train and a truck, a Kansas Highway Patrol trooper confirmed.
It happened just after 6 p.m. Friday about two miles west of Willard in Wabaunsee County.
KHP said Miller was driving the Ford F-150 northbound on Willard Road crossing the railroad tracks just north of Bouchey Road when his trailer became detached on the tracks.
Miller excited the vehicle in an attempt to re-hitch the trailer.
A train came around the curve and struck Miller and his vehicle as he was attempting to get back inside the truck.
