Alumni Foundation Dinner & Program


     Saturday, June 2, 2018        
 Dekat Parish Center – 700 Main    
                 Social Hour 4:00 p.m.

The Rossville High School Alumni Scholarship Foundation has awarded over $20,000.00 in scholarships to graduating seniors of Rossville High since 1999.  An endowment account was established in 2007.   Interest from this account and a grant received from the Prairie Band Potawatomie Nation will be used for scholarships to be given in May.   This year we will give four scholarships in the amount of $1,500 each during this party.   We thank all alumni and friends for your tax deductible donations to this fund.  Join us for the reunion party and/or consider making a donation to our Foundation.
Cost for the evening is $22.50. 
Meal by Wanda’s Country Cookin’.  
Program will follow the dinner.

Pops Concert May 11

RJSHS Bands & Choirs will present their Pops Concert this Friday, May 11th in the auditorium at 7:00 PM.   It's a relaxed concert, with exciting musical selections, senior/award recognitions, and more.

Lady Dawgs Win MEL Title

The Lady Dawgs added 4 more wins this week.
They defeated Wabaunsee 7-1 and 7-3 and defeated Rock Creek 5-2 and 6-4.
Their season record now stands at 17-3 and 9-1 in the MEL.

Softball Regional Starts May 14

The 3A softball regional will begin May 14 at Sabetha.  Hiawatha will be the Lady Dawgs first opponent.

Jarrett Ingwerson (18) Gets Awards

Jarrett Ingwerson, a 2018 RHS grad received a $2000 University Scholar Award and a 
$500 Academic Opportunity Award in computer science from Fort Hays State University for 
the 2018-19 academic year.

Riley Co. Inv. Track & Field

    The RHS Track and Field team competed in the Riley Co. Inv. on May 5.  The girls finished 7th of 11 teams and the boys finished 9th of 12 teams.
    Top 5 finishes were turned in by several athletes.

Baseball Team Wins Two

    The Dawgs beat Wabaunsee in baseball on May 4 11-7 and 18-6.   The Dawgs are 2-6 in the MEL.

Students Of The Week

This week's students of the week are Chace Ramirez, Hayden Roberts, Alivia Sherer and Maxine Smith who assisted a teacher with organizing, moving and cleaning a teachers classroom

State Forensics

The RHS forensics team sent several individuals to the state and festival competitions and had a very successful weekend in Wichita.

Abigail McCrory and Kaleb Badura: 11th in Duet

Kylee Badura Academic All-State

Each year,  the Capital-Journal publishes a list of Academic All State students.  Among the Honorable Mentions is Kylee Nicole Badura, daughter of Chad and Jody Badura who plans to attend Kansas State University.
