From CJ Online:
The
Rossville volleyball team improved to 24-3 after Tuesday's win over St. Marys
at home.
There's
just one more tournament and two more dual meets in the regular season until
sub-state begins on Oct. 22.
With a
blend of returning experience from a team that went 30-9 last year and some new
faces are stepping in, Rossville is looking to get over the hump.
Two key
players to replace were Caylee Douglass and Briar Gillum.
Douglas
had 880 of the team's 1,014 assists last year. The closest player after her had
86. Gillum was second on the team with 289 kills.
This
year, two new faces and some returning ones have stepped into larger roles to
replace that production.
Last
year, Kinley Porter was that closest player with 86 assists. Through 26 games
this year, the junior leads the team with 296 of the team's 559 assists.
Junior
Giulia Caldart, a foreign exchange student from Italy, has 231.
