Jack Clark Passes Away


Jack Charles Clark, 91, of Silver Lake, passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at his home.

Jack was born on March 4, 1934 in Topeka, KS the son of Fred F. And Helen M. (Hundterfund) Clark. He attended local schools and graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1952.

Jack met his future wife, Ramona Glotzbach, while attending school and they were later married on April 1, 1959 at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka.

Jack served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Like his parents, Jack worked as a farmer and rancher in the Silver Lake area.

Jack is survived by his wife Ramona, five sons, Charles (Jane) Clark, John (Lori) Clark, James (Patty) Clark, Ed (Candy) Clark, Michael (Melissa) Clark, one daughter, Susan (Donny) Smith, thirteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Donald Clark.

Jack’s wishes were to be cremated and a Memorial Mass will be offered at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2026 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, 703 Main St., Rossville, KS; a visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in Dekat Hall at the church.

A private family interment will take place at Silver Lake Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Jack’s memory may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.

Girls BB Team at Irish Classic Tournament

 The Lady Dawgs finished second in the Irish Classic Tournament.  Rossville beat Bishop Ward 93-0 and then  Sacred Heart 64-57.   But they lost to the tournament Champions, Chapman 75-67 in Overtime.

Rylee Dick, Bristol Miller and Nora Burdiek were selected as All-Tournament player for the  tournament.

Irish Classic Boys BB Tournament

In the first round of the boy's half of the Irish Classic BB tournament,  Rossville beat Bishop Ward 68-47 but lost to Sacred Heart 72-60.  In their final game,  the Dawgs defeated Chapman 62-28

Jack Donovan and Cameron Miller were selected as All Tournament.

Foster, a sophomore 106-pounder, is currently ranked No. 5 in Class 3A-1A by the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association in its second preseason rankings. Foster was a state qualifier as a freshman, posting a fourth-place regional finish.
