Duane Zlatnik on All Big 12 Team

KU Jayhawks offensive lineman Duane Zlatnik, a senior from Rossville, was AP honorable mention for the All Big 12 Football Team for this year.

Wrestling Team Outlook

Wrestling coach Curt Brecheisen once again has a strong squad gearing up for this year.  The top returners include junior Tagen Lambotte who is a two time state champ in the 145 class who finished with a 34-1 record last year.    Senior Cody Cooper finished well at the state tournament and compiled an 18-13 record last year in the 285 class.  Jacob Gentry in the 126 pound class was another of the top wrestlers last year.  Sophomore Nick Reesor missed the latter part of the season last year after starting with a very promising 22-7 record.
SM South transfer Skylar Olson is expected to provide a good boost to the squad's success this year  as he was a 6A state qualifier last year.
