Rossville resident Shelly Buhler has been elected to a three-year term as chairwoman of the board of directors for the Kansas Health Foundation.
Shelly has served on the board of the foundation since 2006, The foundation is a private philanthropy based in Wichita that works statewide to improve the health of all Kansas residents. The nine-member board of directors controls the foundation and provides more than $22 million annually in grants to organizations and communities throughout the state.
Buhler has served as a Shawnee County Commissioner since 2007 and previously was mayor of Rossville for six years. She is a past board member for Kansas PRIDE, a Leadership Greater Topeka graduate and a 2009 graduate of Leadership Kansas.
