Betty (Davis) (42) Pence Passes Away


   Betty Jane Pence, 90, Topeka, passed away Monday, November 3, 2014.
    She was born February 11, 1924, in Silver Lake, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Blanche (Baird) Davis. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1942. Betty was a bookkeeper for Pence's Grocery Store & Stormont-Vail Hospital. Mrs. Pence was a member of the Lowman United Methodist Church.   
Betty enjoyed music and Kansas State athletics.
    Betty married Clyde W. Pence on September 4, 1942 in Galveston, Texas. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Survivors include children, Judy (John) Badger, Craig (Patty) Pence; brother, Dale Davis; grandsons, Brock (Tiffaney) and Brett Badger; great-grandsons, Gavin Badger and Hunter Richardson.
    Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at the Penwell-Gabel - Southwest Chapel, 3700 SW Wanamaker Road, Topeka. Services will follow at 11 a.m. Private interment will be at Prairie Home Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Midland Hospice, 600 SW Frazier Circle, Topeka, KS 66606 or Lowman United Methodist Church 4000 Drury Lane Topeka, KS 66604.
