Dawgs Lead At Half, Dominate In 2nd

The Dawgs took the opening kickoff and marched the length of the Silver Lake field for an early 7-0 lead.  But,  the Eagles did the same thing to tie the game.  The Dawgs next drive stalled and they had to punt to the Eagles  who moved the ball down to near the goal but had to settle for a field goal.  The eagles were up 10-7 at the end of the first.
In the second quarter, The Dawgs went up 14-10,  but the Eagles weere not intimidated and marched down the field to go ahead 17-14 with about 1 1/2 minutes left in the half.  Using the clock wisely,  the Dawgs moved down the field and with several sideline passes  to Christian Roduner being the main method of movement.  With 28 seconds left in the half,  Tucker Horak hit Jacob Bradford for a pass in the end zone to take a 21-17 lead at the half.
The Dawgs  offense  started to dominate in the third quarter while their defense stopped the Eagle running game and forced them to pass.   Horak was able to keep the Dawgs offense on the ground most of the second half as he made several long runs that eventually stretched the lead to a 21 point margin.    Tucker had a career night with 384 yards on the ground,  partially because it was the first game he was able to play the full four quarters.
