Vic Miller, RHS graduate of 1969, won the 58th district seat with no Republican opposition. The former Shawnee Co. commissioner defeated two Democratic rivals in a 3 man primary race.
Rossville librarian Adrienne Olejnik lost to Rep. Ron Highland, a Wamego Republican who chairs the House Education Committee. The contested district included parts of Shawnee, Wabaunsee, Riley and Pottawatomie counties.
