NEKMEA Honor Band Groups

Rossville will be well represented at the Northeast District of the Kansas Music Educators Association this Saturday, December 7th. In addition to a great number of students being selected for honor groups, Rossville Director of Bands and Choirs, Mr. Garrett Jones, is the recipient of the 2019 NEKMEA Outstanding Young Band Director Award.

The following students will be performing with their honor ensembles on Saturday. Choir rehearsals and concerts are at Topeka High School, while Band rehearsals and concerts are at Topeka Seaman High School.

9th-12th Grade Auditioned GOLD BAND - Concert at 2:00 PM.
  • Elizabeth Schaefer (10th Grade) - 1st Chair Flute
  • Taylor Morelli (12th Grade) - 1st Chair Clarinet
  • Meagan Huston (12th Grade) - 3rd Chair Clarinet
  • Erika Hatina (12th Grade) - 2nd Chair Trumpet
  • Kendall Abernathy (11th Grade) - 9th Chair Trumpet

9th Grade Honor Band - Concert at 1:00 PM.
  • Jasmine Stover - 7th Chair Flute
  • Ashley Chuc - 6th Chair Clarinet
  • Baylor Cooper - 7th Chair Clarinet
  • Ean Haynes - 2nd Chair Bass Clarinet
  • Hayden Sanders - 3rd Chair Trombone

7th/8th Grade Honor Band - Concert at 1:00 PM
  • Anna Escobar (8th Grade) - 9th Chair Flute
  • Emma Tams (8th Grade) - 5th Chair Clarinet
  • Bradley Paulsen (8th Grade) - 9th Chair Trumpet

Middle Level Choir - Concert at 2:00 PM
