Burdiek Named to 2A All-State VB Team

Rossville 5-10 junior outside hitter Nora Burdiek earned first-team 2A All-State honors after helping lead the Bulldawgs to a state tournament berth.

Rossville FB defeats Jackson Hts for Sub-State Win.

Rossville gets a 1A Semi-final win and the opportunity to play undefeatted Sterling for the 1A

State Championship.

Rossville Gets 27-20 Win Over St. Marys Colgon

Rossville defeated Pittsburgh-St. Marys Colgon 27-20 on Nov 14 in Pittsburgh. Following  is the scoring by quarter.

1st Quarter

ROSSVILLE - 8:15 - 15 yard rush Andre Johnson. XP Austin Dohrman.

2nd Quarter

ROSSVILLE - 0:52 - 2 yard rush Canann Mitchell. XP Austin Dohrman.
SMC 0:32-53 yard rush TD. XP no good.

3rd Quarter

ROSSVILLE - 7:17 - 11 yard rush Cael Horgan. XP Austin Dohrman.
SMC-4:55-13 yard rush TD. XP good.

ROSSVILLE - 3:41-71 yard rush Canann Mitchell. XP no good.

4th Quarter

SMC - 11:55-6 yard rush TD. XP good.

With tthe win, Rossville Advaned to the State Semi-Final game on Nov. 21 at  Jackson Heights (10-0). .

Andre Johnson To Play In Native All-American Game

ROSSVILLE — Andre Johnson has one goal and it’s to simply win the Class 1A State Championship for Rossville. The Bulldawgs face St. Mary’s Colgan in the state quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 14. 

No matter what happens to Rossville’s season, Johnson will be one of a few players in Kansas to play in December. 

The senior was named to the Native All-American Football Game on Sunday, Dec. 14. The game will take place at U.S. Bank Stadium, where the Minnesota Vikings play.

Rossville FB Avances Toward Championship

 Rossville had an easy time defeating Jefferson Co. North on Friday night on the RHS turf.  The competition was stronger than the previous game  against Mission Valley and the Dawgs finished the night with a 53-18 win.

There are  now 8 teams remaining in the 1A State Championship tournament.  Rossville will play St. Marys Colgan next week in Pittsburgh  which has won their firt two games byb scores of 63-0 and 56-0.
