RHS Softball Team Advances

    The RHS girls won the first round game of their 3A regional with an easy 11-1 drubbing of the St. Marys Bears on May 13 at Marion.
    The RHS girls will next play the winner of the Riley Co/Marion game on Tuesday, May 14.  That will  be Riley Co. as they got an 11-0 victory over Marion.   Riley Co. was seeded third and Marion sixth.

3A Softball Regional Bracket

    The RHS girls softball team will begin regional play on Monday, May 13 against St. Marys at 3:00 PM.  All the games will be at Marion.

Amanda Hurtig Gets YWCA Scholarship

    Amanda Hurtig of Rossville High was one of several women honored at a YWCA luncheon as "future leaders."    She was also the recipient of a  YWCA scholarship.  You can read about the luncheon activities and honors at:

Rossville High Rated Bronze by US News

    US News and World Report has rated all the high schools across the country.  The highest rated received Gold, Silver or Bronze awards.   In Kansas there were two rated gold and 8 rated Silver.  The twenty one schools rated Bronze included Rossville High (and also Silver Lake).

Baseball Team Sweeps Osage City

  The Bulldog baseball team  swept Osage City (22-8, 10-0) and split with Rock Creek (5-1 win, 5-1 loss) to move to 13-3.

3A Regional Softball Tournament

    The 3A Regional Softball tournament gets under way on Monday, May 13  at Marion.  Rossville is seeded #2  of the seven teams.  Council Grove gets the lone bye.  There are two teams at #3 and two at #6 per the published list,  but actually Rossville is in the #2 spot and St. Marys in the #7 spot.   

Games Monday — Rossville (3: 9-9) vs. St. Marys (6: 3-15), 3 p.m.; Marion (3: 8-8) vs. Riley County (6: 7-11), 4:45 p.m.; Herington (4: 9-10) vs. SE-Saline (5: 9-11), 6:30 p.m.
