3A Volleyball Sub-State
The girls volleyball team won their first round of the 3A Sub-state tournament held at Rossville by defeating Central Heights 25-12, 26-24. Their semi-final game was against the eventual sub-state champion Silver Lake. Silver Lake won 8-26, 15-25.
The one consolation is that the RHS girls put up the best fight of the tournament against Silver Lake. They won the championship against Wellsville 25-11,25-7. In their first round game, the Eagles trounced Osage City 25-8, 25-4.

New CryptoLocker Virus Rapidly Spreading (Upsdated 11/4)
Nearly all virus warnings sent by e-mail are hoaxes. But, here is one warning that is very serious. It requires you to pay a ransom to get all your files back, which is not always successful. To avoid it, avoid opening any e-mail attachments that look suspicious, even if from a friend or legitimate company, do not click on any link in a suspicious e-mail, and do not go to web sites that look suspicious.

Update 11-4-13: At first the criminals behind CryptoLocker said you had four days to pay or your files were locked forever. Now, however, they say that you can get them back even after four days. The catch is that you'll have to pay more than $2,000!
While you might pay this ransom as a last resort, users are reporting that some files will give an error and stay locked. There is no way to recover those files.

St. Marys Game Big For Both Teams
The Thursday night Rossville-St. Marys game will be an important one for both teams. For the Dawgs, a win means not sharing the Mid-East League title with Silver Lake. For either team, a win means not having to face Silver Lake in the B-District game next Tuesday.
Here is the Capital-Journal view of the game.
