Notes — Scott City turned what was expected to be a huge showdown for the GWAC title into a complete mow down of Class 4A Division I No. 3 Ulysses. Holding standout Ian Rudzik to more than 200 yards below his season average, allowing him just 29 in a 35-0 romp. Bo Hess threw for 162 yards and three scores to key the offense.

Wichita Eagle 3A Football Rankings

    The Wichita Eagle was the first publicaion to publish the 3A football rankings this week.  It really should not have taken long since they made no changes from last week.

3A Football Scores

    Here are other football scores of Mid-East teams,  and also highly ranked 3A teams that played Oct. 9, 2015..

Dawgs Bury Centrailia Early (updated)

    The Dawgs made quick work of the Centrailia panthers by scoring 27 points in the first qtr.  They added another 14 in the second and that was all for Tucker Horak and the first team offense.
    Tucker carried 8 times  for 138 yards in the first half for 4 TDs and Dawson Hammes gained another 69 yards on 8 carries.  Tucker was 8 of 12 and  187 yards passing with Cole Schumacher his primary target.  Cole had 4 catches for 110 yards and one TD.    Second string QB Jacob Bradshaw carried 11 times for 130 yards and 2 TDs in just over one qtr until the 3rd string QB replaced in in a "running clock" 4th qtr.

RHS 2nd At Rossville Invitational Golf

    The RHS girls came in second at the Rossville Invitational golf meet held at St. Marys on Oct. 8.

    Emily Woodcock finished second individually with a 40.   Mary Stillion was 9th with a 47 and   Jessica Sowers finished 14th with a 51.

Terrance Sowers (15) at Highland CC


    Terrance Sowers is on the 2015 football roster at Highland Community College.  The 6' 0" 200 pound freshman is listed as a linebacker.

Nick Reesor (15) At Highland CC


      Nick Reesor is on the 2015 football roster at Highland Community College.  The 5' 11" 190 pound freshman is listed as a defensive back.

Centrailia Visiting Tonight

    Centrailia will be visiting tonight.  The football game will start at 7 PM.

After Prom Meal At Tonight's Game

 There will be an "after prom fundraiser" meal during  tonight's game with Centrailia.  Serving of an Indian Taco, cookie and drink for $6 to begin at 6 PM

RHS & SMHS Split In Volleyball

    The RHS and SMHA volleyball teams each picked up one Mid-East victory as they split their match on Oct. 6.   The RHS girls picked up the win in the first match 25-15, 25-23. But the St. Marys girls continued to improve and the second match, which was very close,  was won by the Bears 20-25, 25-10, 19-25
