Baseball Team Loses To Nemaha
The RHS baseball team dropped two games to Nemaha Central on May 3 by scores of 7-6 and 16-3. The Dawgs are now 10-6 for the season,

Dawgs Sweep Osage City
The Dawgs baseball team beat Osage City 6-5 and 6-5 on May 3 while the softball team was rolling with scores of 6-2 and 12-0 for a clean sweep of the day.
Dawgs and Wamego Meet on Diamonds
The Rossville softball and baseball teams tackled 4A Wamego on Monday, May 2.
The baseball team split 1-1 by winning the first game 12-11, but losing the second one 18-5.
The softball team won both games against Wamego by scores of 10-3 and 2-0.

Darlene (O'Donnell) (51) Clark Passes Away
Darlene F. Clark, age 82, of Paxico passed away Wednesday, May 04, 2016 at the Aldersgate Village. Darlene was born December 22, 1933 in Topeka the daughter of Tom O’Donnell and Velda Mitchell O’Donnell. She graduated from Rossville High School in 1951. She married Wayne Clark February 21, 1952 in Rossville. Darlene attended Clark’s Business School, but she dedicated most of her adult life to caring for her husband, sons and mother. She had attended Rossville United Methodist Church and was a member of the Rossville American Legion Auxiliary.
Darlene was preceded in death by a grandson, Eli Clark. She is survived by her husband, Wayne of over 64 years; two sons, Philip (Susan) Clark of Overbrook and Douglas (Ginny) Clark of Tecumseh; 10 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. She will lie in state Friday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Davidson Funeral Home. Interment will be at the Bethlehem Cemetery, south of Paxico. Memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate Village Good Samaritan Fund and sent in care of the Davidson Funeral Home. John Cooney Passes Away
John C. Cooney, 53, of St. Marys, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2016 in an automobile accident on I-335 south of Topeka.
He was born July 20, 1962 at Manchester, CT, and lived in the St. Marys community for many years.
John owned St. Marys Painting Company. He was a member of Assumption Chapel in St. Marys.
On July 9, 1988 he was united in marriage to Sylvia Maze in St. Marys. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include his 9 children 10 siblings and 12 grandchildren
Requiem Mass will be at 7:00 A.M, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Assumption Chapel in St. Marys. Interment will be in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, St. Marys. Mr. Cooney will lie in state from 2:00 until 4:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. A rosary will be recited at 5:20 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Assumption Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in John's name and sent in care of the funeral home.

The RHS boys golf team competed in the St. Marys Invitational
Gabe Marney was 14th over all with a 92 and Andrew Hudson finished 16th with a 98. Kole Davoren had a 103 score and Trey Anderson ended with a 109 to round out the 4 man team.

The Rossville baseball team lost two games to the Silver Lake Eagles 5-1 and 5-1 on Thursday evening. The team now is 7-3 overall
Lady Dawgs Clip Eagle Wings
The RHS softball team notched two more Mid-East victories on Thur. evening by dropping the Silver Lake Eagles 6-3 and 9-7. The Lady Dawgs are now 8-0 for the Mid-East League lead.

Derek Gentry (16) To Wrestle At BCCC
Rossville senior Derek Gentry will be wrestling next year for Barton County Community College. He will be signing his national Letter Of Intent on Wednesday, May 4th at 9:15 AM at Rossville High School.
