Rossville At Riley County Sept 21
The Capital-Journal has listed this Friday's game as one of the top in the area. They had this to say about the upcoming game.
ROSSVILLE (2-1) AT RILEY COUNTY
(2-1)
The Mid-East
League rivals share something in common this year, with both having suffered
their only loss to Silver Lake. Rossville fell 17-14 in a muddy War on 24
battle two weeks ago, while Riley County lost 31-12 last week to the Eagles.
Riley County won last year’s game 52-7 after Rossville had won six straight in
the series. Rossville quarterback Garrett Carver already has nearly 1,000
combined rushing and passing yards, having thrown for 449 yards and two
touchdowns and run for 429 yards and seven scores. Riley County, meanwhile, has
been led by junior quarterback Garrett Harmison, who’s thrown for 495 yards and
four touchdowns, and senior back Mikey Waggoner, who has 332 yards and five
scores.

Are you looking to replace a bed in your home? Now is the time. The Rossville High Music programs are excited to announce they will be hosting a one day Mattress Sale Fundraiser on Saturday, October 13th from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM. For one day only, Rossville High will be transformed in to a mattress showroom. For quick information about the sale, textSleepy Rossville to 797979.
There will be 28+ mattress floor models on display for customers to try. Adjustable power bases, premium pillows, bed frames, and mattress protectors will be available as well. Rock Creek Football Game Progress
The defense of last week is nowhere to be found. Rock Creek and Rossville tied 14-14 at the end of the first quarter.
Early in the second, Corey Horak intercepted a pass and ran it back to the 22 and the Dawgs scored a few plays later, but missed on the extra point try. The Mustangs put together a long drive and scored 7 to go up one. The Dawgs had one last drive before the end of the half and made it to the one but could not get across the goal and the half ended 21-20 in favor of Rock Creek.
Several good defensive stands in the third and neither team could score.
Early in the 4th period, the Dawgs score, but were unsuccessful on a two pt try. They later added a field goal to go up by 8.
