History of Buttermilk Station

The oldest building in the Rossville area is the former Pearl home on the south side of US 24 about 3 miles west of Rossville.  This home was built about 1860 as a stage coach stop and hotel.  The original name was the NEDDO HOTEL.  Later it became known as Buttermilk Station and was a stopping point for passing trains.
In 1991, Jack Pearl,  who had lived on the farm much of his life wrote a small book with photos  about the home's history.    You can read that history at:
https://rossvilleksphotos.blogspot.com/2018/10/buttermilk-station.html

Note that you will need to view the book on a computer screen and not a mobile phone.
