Wabaunsee Volleyball
The RHS volleyball team split with Wabaunsee, winning the first 25-16, 25-17, but losing the second 21-25, 17-25. The Lady Dawgs finished 2-8 in the MEL, and 14-21 overall.

Fall Music Concert On Oct. 18
The Fall Music Concert is this Thursday, October 18th at 7:00 PM in the Auditorium. It will feature the Junior and Senior High Bands and Choirs. Call time is 6:30 PM for students. Please come out and support the Dawg Music program

Volleyball at Maur-Hill Mount Academy
The Lady Dawgs competed in the Maur-Hill Mount Academy Triangular on Oct. 11 winning the event by defeating both Maur Hill and Jackson Heights.
The score of the Maur-Hill match was 25-16 and 25-16.
The Lady Dawgs also prevailed against tougher Jackson Heights 25-14, 19-25, and 25-18.

But the top-ranked Cardinals scored two straight touchdowns and six of the next seven in the game, opening up a 47-17 lead on their way to a 53-23 rout. Conway ran for 375 yards with Peyton Winter (167) and Collin Koester (123) each topping 100 yards.

Rebecca Davis Passes Away
Rebecca S. Davis Rebecca S. Davis, 66, of Topeka, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. Rebecca was cremated, and inurnment will take place at Dover Cemetery at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 18, 2018. Progress of Council Grove Game
The Dawgs are in Council Grove for a District 4 playoff game against the Council Grove Braves.
1st quarter: After the Braves first drive foundered, The Dawgs took over and Garrett Carver went 75 yards on an option play for the first TD. On the Dawgs second possession, Bo Reeves had a good run to the 17 yard line and Carver put it into the end zone on the next play. Fourteen points on three plays.
2nd quarter: The Dawgs picked up their third TD on a 5 yard run with only 4 seconds gone in the quarter. The Dawgs got their second TD of the quarter on a pass with 9:06 remaining in the half. The Dawgs then successively executed an on-side kick but their drive was stopped in the red zone and they missed a 27 yard FG. On their next possession, Trevor Johnson scored with 2:27 remaining. Score 36-0 at the half.
3rd quarter: Neither team scored during the 3rd as they played pretty even.
4th quarter: The fourth was played with a "running clock." New QB Cory Horak put together a good drive and scored with 3:46 left in the game. But the Braves completed a long pass for a TD with 25 seconds remaining. Final score 43-8
