RHS Band Rates No. 1
I'm proud to announce that the RHS Band has received its FOURTH consecutive Superior "1" Rating at State Band Contest. The band received 1-ratings from all three judges at Louisburg on Wednesday, April 10th, and were one of a total of only six 1-Rating bands that day. The students have worked incredibly hard this semester to prepare the music they did - Overture for Winds by Charles Carter, and With Each Sunset by Richard Saucedo.
See them in action next on Sunday, April 14th at 7:00 PM for the Solo & Small Ensemble Concert in the RHS Auditorium.

Jr. High Band Rated Perfect
The Rossville Junior High Band of 46 members performed at the Washburn Rural Middle School Band Festival Monday, April 8. Fifteen junior high bands performed for three judges, and Rossville was the only group to score a "perfect" 1-Rating from all three judges. We played "Scottish Ballade" by Robert Sheldon, followed by "Moscow, 1941" by Brian Balmages.
The junior high band has two more performances this semester. Our Pops Concert on Sunday, May 5th at 2:00 PM and a performance at the Worlds of Fun Music Festival on Saturday, May 11th.
The Rossville Senior High Band is headed to Louisburg on Wednesday, April 10th for State Large Group Contest, we perform at 9:00 AM. They have prepared very well and are ready for a phenomenal performance.
Way to go Dawgs - Have a great day!
