Andrea Rietcheck on ESU Honor Roll

     Andrea Rietcheck was named to the Emporia State University Honor Roll for the Spring Semester. A 3.8 or higher GPA is required for this honor.

Ashley Rietcheck on ESU Honor Roff

Ashley Rietcheck was named to the Emporia State University Honor Roll which requires a 3.8 or higher GPA.  She was also named to the  School of Business Dean's List.

Andrea Rietcheck Graduates

    Andrea Renee Rietcheck graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BS in Nursing from Emporia State University in May.

Cara Biswell Selected For Award

Casa Biswell was selected by Gov Laura Kelley to attend the 36th Annual Governors Scholarship Awards Program.

Postseason: lost in 2A playoffs quarterfinals.

Top returners: Kody Davoren, OT/DE, Sr.; Bryson Balch, C/DE, Jr.; Kris Brown, OG, Jr.; Tyree Sowers, RB, Jr.; Kaiden Brown, RB/LB, Jr.; Bo Reeves, WR/CB, Jr.; Kaleb Badura, WR/SS, Sr.; Torrey Horak, CB, So.; Callen Bahner, DL, Sr.

Outlook: Bulldawgs rebounded from down 2017 season by reaching 2A quarterfinals, ending season with 24-22 loss to Humboldt. ... Only other losses came to one-loss Silver Lake and 2A runner-up Riley County. ... Biggest loss to graduation was quarterback Garrett Carver, who ran for 1,276 yards and 18 touchdowns and threw for 1,269 yards and nine scores. ... Either Reeves or Horak, who battled Carver for starting QB job last preseason, will take over position this year. ... Reeves was leading receiver with 381 yards and four TDs. ... Sowers was second on team with 566 yards and TDs rushing. ... Badura led team in tackles with 66 and Kaiden Brown had 64.

Football Team Jamboree Aug 30

    The RHS football team will participate in a Jamboree  at Highland Community College on Aug  30 beginning at 6:30.  Gates open at 6:00 PM.  RHS will scrimmage against Riverside and Troy.  Admission if FREE.
