Rossville Girls Lose To Chapman

    The Rossville girls were ahead 14-13 at the half in their game against Chapman this afternoon.
    After 3 quarters,  they were dowm by two at 28-26.  With 3.8 seconds, Rossville had a 2 point lead with Chapman having to inbound the ball a full court away from the basket.  However,  the Rossville girls allowed Chapman to heave the ball over half the court before time started and they made a shot right at the buzzer to send the game into overtime.
    During the OT, Chapman was able to outscore Rossville 5-3 to win by two at 43-41 during a hard fought game.
    The Lady Dawgs were 1-2 in this tournament.

    The Rossville girls lost  against Sacred Heart on Friday night in the Irish Classic basketball tournament  at Chapman.    They will play Chapman on Sat. night.

Cunningham, Stallbaumer: Students Of Week

Student(s) of the Week: Trevor Cunningham and Colten Stallbaumer took the time to help Mrs. Shepard set up the library for student testing. This was a selfless act that really helped out someone in a time crunch.

Outlook: Bulldawgs return four state qualifiers but no placers. ... Davoren was 35-9 and went 2-2 at state at 195. ... Hurla was 36-14 and 2-2 at state at 113. ... Both Archers went 27-17 and qualified for state. ... Carver was 21-6.

3A Wrestlers Ranked

The Rossville High wrestleing team is not ranked in the Top Ten,  but several individuals are:  They include Layne Hurla, #6 in 113 class, Alex Archer, #5 in 120 class, and Kody Davoren, #5 in 195 class.

Davoren Make All-State Team

    The Capital Journal has announced their All-State football teams for 2018.  Kody Davoren made the 2A team as an offensive lineman.  Kody is a 6-2, 210 lb. junior.
    Several Rossville players received honorable mention.  They are Bo Reeves, sophomore, end; Garrett Carver, senior, back; Tyree Sowers, sophomore, back; Payton Catron senior, linebacker; and Joau Livisi, kicker.
