Rattlers Add Four More Players

The Rossville Rattlers are announcing the next batch of signees for the summer of 2014.

We are excited to build a new relationship with the University of North Dakota, members of the Division I Western Athletic Conference.

Zach Heaser (SS - University of North Dakota) Heaser is a 5'9, 168-lb. short stop from Eyota, Minnesota. Heaser shows good bat speed and pop and makes consistent contact. Defensively, he has solid actions with a quick transfer and release. He has good footwork, reads hops well at short stop and makes plays. He will be a freshman at North Dakota University in the fall.

We also welcome in two more members of Independence Community College to the Rattlers. These two will join 3rd year Rattler and current Pirate Ethan Beckett this summer.

Garrett Weber (OF - Independence Community College) Garrett is a 6'2, 210-lb transfer from Emporia State. He'll play as a Catcher/Outfielder this spring for Independence Community College. Garrett lettered three years in baseball and 2 years in football for Mound City HS. Weber was a second-team all-league catcher his senior season.

James Hinnen (RHP - Independence Community College) James is a 5'10, 180-lb strike throwing, right handed pitcher from El Dorado, Kansas. Hinnen is playing for Independence Community College this spring. He throws in the low to mid 80's with some off-speed pitches.

Rossville will also welcome in our first player from Fort Scott Community College.

Bobby Pierce (LHP - Fort Scott Community College) Pierce is a 6'3, 180-lb left handed pitcher from Oklahoma City, OK. A graduate of Southmoore High school, Bobby has a very loose arm with plus off-speed. Pierce will be a starting pitcher for the Greyhounds and throw lots of innings for them this spring.
