Raymond Adams III Passes Away

Raymond E. Adams III, of Maple Hill, Kansas was born January 30, 1952 in Manhattan, Kansas the son of Raymond E. Adams Jr. and Anne
Eddie was the heir to the Adams Cattle Company-Maple Hill, which is now R.E. Adams III LLC. At the time of his passing,  Eddie and his son were continuing the legacy but taking the company in a new direction with farming and fall-calving cows.
Eddie attended high school at Pembroke-Country Day School in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated in 1970.  He graduated in 1974 from Kansas State University in Manhattan, where he was a member of Phi Gamma Delta fraternity.  He met his wife, Margaret "Peggy" Farley, while both were attending K-State.  They were married May 27, 1972, at the Leawood United Presbyterian Church.
Eddie is survived by his wife, Peggy, his daughter, Jessica Anne Denton (Janne); his son, Raymond E. Adams IV  "Pete" and his wife, LeAnn; granddaughters, Lauren Newell, and Meredith, Sarah and Amelia Denton, and step-granddaughters, Hadley and Autymn Schreiner.
He is also survived by his mother, Anne; two sister, Sally Bitar and Marie Dolembo (Tom); three brothers, John (Lisa), Clay and Charlie Adams; numerous nieces and nephews, as well as friends.
Graveside services and interment will be at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Maple Hill Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Old Stone Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.  To leave online condolences please go to www.piperfuneralhome.com.
