Zach Archer Wins 106 lb. Class

From the Capital-Journal:
After not placing at state the year before, Rossville junior Zach Archer grabbed the 106-pound title in decisive fashion, earning a 10-2 major decision over Goodland’s D.J. Knox in the title match.
“I got the first takedown and got some back points,” Archer said. “It just worked out really well.”
Archer, who upset top-ranked Tyler Voss from Colby in the semifinals, finished the season 39-4.
“It feels good, but I don’t know if it’s set in yet,” Archer said.

His older brother, Alex Archer, came up short in his bid for a 120-pound title, taking a 14-3 decision loss to Eureka’s Kolby Beitz in the final. Beitz is now a two-time state champion.
Alex Archer went 35-6 in his senior season.

Riverside’s Beau Horn lost a tight one in the 132 finals, taking a 3-1 decision loss to Hoxie’s Dylan Weimer.
Horn, a junior, finished the season 34-6.
