Small schools' high school football rankings

 1) Hayden (2-0)

In the second game of their tough three-game stretch to open the season, the Wildcats handled 2A Silver Lake with ease on Friday night, winning 43-10. The Wing T looks as lethal as ever.

2) Rossville (1-1)

After suffering their first loss in over two seasons last week, the Dawgs had a nice response in a 36-15 win over Riley County.

3) Cair Paravel (1-1)

The Red Lions fought for their first KSHSAA win after bouncing back from a tough second half against a great Axtell team in week 1.

4) Silver Lake (1-1)

By virtue of the loss, the Golden Eagles fall three spots but are making a lot of progress with a young team and a new coach. First-year quarterback Tanner Martin threw for 258 yards and had a big run, too.
