More:Hayden football improves to 2-0, runs over Silver Lake. Here's what stood out.

2) Rossville (1-1)

After suffering their first loss in over two seasons last week, the Dawgs had a nice response in a 36-15 win over Riley County.

3) Cair Paravel (1-1)

The Red Lions fought for their first KSHSAA win after bouncing back from a tough second half against a great Axtell team in week 1.

4) Silver Lake (1-1)

By virtue of the loss, the Golden Eagles fall three spots but are making a lot of progress with a young team and a new coach. First-year quarterback Tanner Martin threw for 258 yards and had a big run, too.

Hayden This Weeks Opponent

Hayden (2-0) vs. Rossville (1-1), 7 p.m.

Last week: Hayden defeated Silver Lake (43-10), Rossville defeated Riley County (26-15)

Although stylistically on opposite ends of the spectrum, both of these teams pride themselves on physicality. The game, as usual, will be won in the trenches, but with the experience both teams have back on both lines, it'll be fun to watch.
