3A Volleyball Sub-State Results

 In the opening round of he tournamen RHS easily defeated Atchison Co. 25-14, 25-6.  In the semi-final game the Lady Dawgs defeated St. Marys 25-13, 25-21.  The hard fought championship  was wom by Silver Lake 25-16, 21-25, 26-24 

Lady Dawgs Add Two More Wins

 Rossville defeated Wabaumsee 25-13, 25-14 and 29-22, 25-20.  The Lady Dawgs are 29-7 and getting ready for the 3A Sub-State.

Maur Hill Ravens At Rossville

Rosssville hosted the Maur Hill, Mount Academy Ravens for Senior Night,

Rossville scored 4 TDs in the first quarter and then added 2 more during a running clock second quarter to lead 43-0 at the half.

The Dawgs added ttwo more TDs in the third quarter and one in the last quarter for a final score of 64-0.

Clarence "Nick" Yocum Passes Away

 Clarencce Yocum died in Topeka at the age of 89.on Oct. 18,  2023 in Manhattan.  He was born in the Sandy Hook area and attended schools in St. Marys.  He has been very active in St. Marys over the years.  His complete obituary can be read  at:    :https://www.piperfuneralhome.com/obituaries/clarence-yocum

Senior Night Oct. 20 Against Maur Hill

 Rossville will host Maur Hill-Mount Academy in the last game in District 3 play.  The top two teams, likely Rossville and Silver Lake will then compete in the State Tournament beginning next week on the 27th.  The bracket has not been set until the results of  all the Oct. 20 District games are known.
