Loretta A. DeVader Scott, 58, of Rossville, went home to her Heavenly Father, Sunday, April 26, 2015.
She was born January 12, 1957 at Topeka, the daughter of Joseph C. and Catherine L. Martin DeVader. Loretta grew up in the Emmett community graduating from Emmett Grade School and St. Marys High School in 1976.
She was united in marriage to Shelby Scott in 1998 at St. Marys. He preceded her in death on October 22, 2004. She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant brother, Ronald and a sister, Roberta K. DeVader-Dale
Survivors include four brothers, Larry, Dave, Robert and Gerald “Chief” DeVader; three sisters, Edith Fuller, Marcia Wagner and Ranae Baker; along with many nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. Thursday, April 30, 2015 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Rossville. Loretta will lie in state from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the church where there will be a rosary recited at 8:00 P.M. Private inurnment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Emmett at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and sent in care of Piper Funeral Home, 714 Maple St., St. Marys, Kansas 66536.
