In Junior High action, Gabe Fund and Makenna Hensley both ran strong, moving up through the competition throughout the entire race. Each of them snagged a personal best for the season and look to continue to improve in their final two races of the year - Osage City and League at Wabaunsee.

Horton Cross Country Meet
The Varsity Girls finished 3rd as a team in a tight battle against future 3A Regional competitors Sabetha and Hiawatha. Julia Streit led from the front for much of the race, but was caught in the final sprint finish by Hiawatha's Kate Madsen to finish 2nd overall in 20:32. Amelia Foster was 8th, 21:54. Reagan Wonnell 26th, 23:50. Cassie Fund 31st, 24:17. Audrie Davis 36th, 25:01. Keera Lacock 44th, 26:41.
The varsity boys only fielded 4 this week, so did not score as a team, but ran strong together as a pack and had a 13 second spread at the finish. Bronc Reser led the Dawg pack in 52nd, 21:00. Hayden Sanders 54th, 21:03. Wade Twombly 56th, 21:10. Tres Faith 57th, 21:13.
Rossville will head to Osage City next Thursday, October 8th for their final regular season meet before the League meet on Thursday, October 15th.
