Rossville Junior High Awards

 

Junior High Student Award Criteria

    American Legion Award

In recognition of the possession of those high qualities of Courage, Honor, 
Leadership, Scholarship and Service which are necessary to the preservation 
and protection of the fundamental institutions of our government and
the advancement of society.

    The Dawg Core Values Award

It is presented to the student for excellence as an example of a young citizen who demonstrates the following qualities:

      ·                Compassion
·                Respect
·                Integrity
·                Drive
·                Self-awareness
·                Responsibility
·                Pride

 Greg and Sheila Marney Award                                       

The award is presented to the student who consistently demonstrates the following qualities:
   ·                Honesty
   ·                Perseverance
   ·                Respect
   ·                Responsibility

    John M. Halula Memorial Award

Presented annually to the student or students who best show increased 
awareness and progress in academics, citizenship, and extra-curricular 
activities while attending Rossville Jr. High.

KSHSAA Citizenship Award

Is presented for excellence as an exemplary young citizen, who has demonstrated a marked respect for country, assumed responsibility for improving school and community, and has shown reverence for life.

    Ron Napier Award

Is given to the Rossville Junior High student who demonstrates school spirit and exemplifies leadership by promoting the excellence of others.

Teddy Schmid Memorial Award

Is presented annually to the student attending Rossville Jr. High who demonstrates the following qualities:
.                Friendliness, sincerity, and a deep concern for others
.                A great willingness to work hard towards goals
.                A strong sense of making good decisions
.                Respect for others
