KPreps 3A FB Rankings

#1 ROSSVILLE (8-0)
Last: beat Osage City 61-7
Rossville scored 35 points in the second quarter in routing Osage City 61-7. Tucker Horak rushed for 103 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries to lead the Bulldawgs. Rossville will travel to rival Silver Lake to determine the district championship this week.

 WICHITA COLLEGIATE (8-0)
Last: rolled past Wichita Independent 63-14
Collegiate continued to cruise through their 3A district with a 63-14 win over Independent. Quarterback Austin Waddell completed 9 of 13 passes for 213 yards and five touchdowns for the Spartans. Back Nathan Burgoyne rushed for two touchdowns and caught two touchdown passes to help Collegiate remain unbeaten at 8-0.

#3 SCOTT CITY (8-0)
Last: beat Lakin 55-0
Scott City raced out to a 35-0 lead after one quarter and cruised past Lakin. Cooper Griffith rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns on only six carries to lead the Beavers. Quarterback Bo Hess completed all three of his passes for 72 yards and touchdown pass to Drake McRae.

#4 HALSTEAD (8-0)
Last: held off Garden Plain, 32-28
Layke Heimerman scored on a 4-yard run with 1:34 remaining to lift the Dragons to a 32-28 win over Garden Plain. Casey Kohr sealed the game with a late interception inside the five-yard line to end a final Garden Plain threat and preserve the win. The Dragons and Owls battled back-and-forth in a game that featured seven lead changes and no lead bigger than eight points. Heimerman finished with 129 rushing yards and two touchdowns, while quarterback Eli McKee rushed for 164 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Dragons. Halstead played without all-state running back Blake Beckett due to injury.

#5 SILVER LAKE (8-0)
Last: beat Oskaloosa 48-0
Silver Lake remained unbeaten with a 48-0 shut out of Oskaloosa. The Eagles scored three times in the first quarter to lead 21-0. Silver Lake expanded that lead to 41-0 at halftime. The Eagles will host arch rival and top-ranked Rossville in the War on 24 this week.
