Dawgs Break In New QB For 2022

From tthe Capital-Journal:

Rossville's Kade Perine makes a catch from Torrey Horak (6) last season. Horak's graduation leaves big shoes to fill behind center.

Kade Perine, Senior (Last year as WR: 28 catches, 510 yards, 1 touchdown) OR Camden Horak, Junior (Last year: 7-12, 79 yards) OR Tayson Horak, Sophomore

Last year's quarterback: Torrey Horak (86-134, 1,347 yards, 12 touchdowns, 1 interception)

Rossville won its fifth state title, second in a row, under head coach Derick Hammes last fall, and in four of its five state title-winning seasons, Rossville had a returning quarterback.

With the graduation of Torrey Horak, a three-year starter who will be playing collegiately at the University of Central Missouri, there will be a new quarterback this fall for the Dawgs.

There weren't a lot of reps available at quarterback last year with Horak at the helm, even with missing a few games due to injury he added an additional 1,009 yards and 14 touchdowns on the ground on top of his 1,347 passing yards and 12 touchdowns.
