The Rossville track team combined with St. Marys to compete at Kaw Valley in the Riley Invitational. The Kaw Valley girls team came in 6th of 11 teams and the boys came in 4th of 11 teams. The complete results can be read at:

Rattlers Release Roster & Schedule
ROSSVILLE, KS - The Rossville Rattlers of the Mid-Plains League are happy to announce their 2015 Schedule and Roster.
The Rattlers will kick off their 4th season at home on Thursday May 27th at 7:00 PM versus the defending MPL Champion Junction City Brigade.
This year's roster is made up of players from 8 Division I, 9 Division II, 10 Junior College, 2 High School, and 1 NAIA program.
"We have a pretty young team this year, but we love the level of talent we have going into the season," said Rattlers GM David Streeter. "We have some of the top high school players in Shawnee County playing for us and we are excited to see how we match up in the Mid-Plains League."
The Rattlers will be once again be coached by Tobi Cowdin, Bruce Cowdin, and T.J. McGreevy will serve as pitching coach.
The Mid-Plains League is beginning it's second year of operation, with 7-teams from Kansas and Missouri. The league recently added Liberty, Missouri for this season and is building off a very successful first season. The league will feature a 36-game regular season, with all 7-teams making the postseason. TheĆ MPL will once again put on an All-Star Game on July 5th in at Rathert Stadium in Junction City. The opponent this summer will be the Puerto Rico Collegiate Baseball Club.

Lady Dawgs Win Easy At OC
The Lady Dawgs had an easy win at Osage City on May 5th.

Taylor Kirk, Heidi Nitsch and Britnee Zemek each had two hits. Kirk led the RBI column with two.
Amanda Hill pitched the four innings of the "mercy rule" game. She had 10 first pitch strikes and seven strike-outs.

Judy Fauerbach (62) Passes Away
Judy L. Fauerbach, 71, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka. She was born April 5, 1944, near Rossville, the daughter of John H. and Catherine E. Reser Fauerbach. Judy grew up in the Rossville community and graduated from Rossville High School in 1962. She attended Clark s School of Business in Topeka.
Judy worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation for many years, retiring in 2003. She was a member of the Rossville Presbyterian Church. She also was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star at Silver Lake.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include three brothers, William (Alice) Fauerbach and James (Lois) Fauerbach, all of Emporia, and John E. Fauerbach, Topeka; her sister Bonnie J. Fauerbach, Rossville; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2015, at Piper Funeral Home in St. Marys. Interment will be in the Rossville Cemetery. Judy will lie in state and the family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 5, 2015, at the funeral home. Dawgs Get No-Hit Win At Lake
The Dawgs put on an impressive offensive display on Friday evening in the night cap outhitting the Eagles on their home field 12-0 and getting a 9-0 win.
Tucker Horak led the hitting with five hits, including two doubles and a home run. Jack Steckel also had a double and Christian Roduner had a home run. The pitching was pretty darn good too. Thatcher Horak and Ethan Woodcock combined to throw seven innings of No Hit baseball. Thatcher pitched six innings getting 11 strike-outs while allowing one walk. Dawgs Knock Off Eagles 10-3
The Dawgs dominated the Eagles Friday overpowering them 10-3 in seven innings in game one of the double header giving Silver Lake their first loss of the season.
Nick Reesor led the hitting with a home run and a double. Corbin Horak had a triple and Ethan Woodcock, M. Matumoto and Jack Steckel had doubles. Reesor and Woodcock each had three RBIs.
