Eagles Lose to Dawgs Twice In Baseball

    The Dawgs clipped the Eagle wings twice on May 2 picking up Mid-East victories of 5-1 and 6-3 to further justify their number six ranking in 3A baseball.

Game One

Silver Lake      0   0   0   0   1   0   0   --   1   2   2
Rossville         3   0   1   1   0   0   -   --    5   5   0

    The offense was led by first baseman Nick Reesor going two for two with a single, home run and a walk accounting for two of Rossville's RBIs.  
    Zack Nitsch pitched seven innings allowing only one earned run, two walks, six strike-outs.

Game Two

Rossville         0   2   0   1   0   3   -    --   6   6   2

   Third baseman Jack Steckel led the offense in game two going two for three with two singles driving in two RBIs.  Marcus Catron had a double and scored twice by also getting on base by an error while going one for three.  Christian Rodunner also had a double  for one RBI and also scoring one run.
    Marcus Catron pitched all seven innings picking up the win by allowing only one earned run, five hits, two walks, and 11 strike-outs.
