Rattlers Sign Two More KSU Players

ROSSVILLE - The Rossville Rattlers are proud to announce the signing of two more  players from Kansas State University.

Coach Brad Hill has worked with the Rattlers program since our inception, sending us freshman talent each summer. Currently, there are  ten players on the current Wildcat roster who have ties to the Rattlers program.

Dalon Farkas (3B/SS - Kansas State University)  Farkas is a 5'11, 175-lb incoming freshman from Milton, Georgia. Dalon was a member of the 2013 6A Georgia State Champion baseball team at Milton High School, one of the best high school programs in the country.  Farkas is a quick, defensive infielder, with very good balance, and an accurate arm with a quick release. He plays 3B and has the tools and skills to be a defensive standout at that position.

Jordan Floyd (LHP - Kansas State University)  Jordan is a 6'2, 230-lb left handed pitcher from Tecumseh, Kansas. Floyd is well known in the Topeka area, having played at Shawnee Heights High School. He was named the 2013 Class 5A Kansas co-Pitcher of the Year by the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches (KABC). Floyd was also selected to the KABC Class 5A All-State First Team in 2013. Jordan was named Topeka Capital-Journal All-City Player of the Year and All-Centennial League First Team in his senior year. Floyd  helped Shawnee Heights  compile a perfect 25-0 record and win the state championship in 2011. Jordan was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 25th round (764th overall) of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft, but did not sign.

The Rattlers season kicks off May 28th as they travel to St. Joseph, Missouri to face  the Mustangs. Rossville's home opener will be on May 29th versus the Joplin Outlaws in Rossville.  Mid-Plains League play begins June 6th for the Rattlers as they travel to Peculiar, Missouri to take on the Midwest Athletics.
